"You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true,
And unafraid of toil”
Slytherin wasn’t the only founder to leave a concealed chamber at Hogwarts— before her death, Helga Huffelpuff created a secret room which would help all students, regardless of house affiliation or purity of blood. It’s been called many things throughout the centuries; today it’s known as the Room of Requirement.
The Hufflepuff common room is known as the coziest and most secure at Hogwarts. Just like badgers, Hufflepuffs live underground in circular rooms that are accessed through a hidden tunnel. Located near the kitchens it is the only common room that does not require a password but a rhythm tapped out on barrels. However get it wrong and you will find yourself doused in vinegar as it is also the only common room with a repelling device. Once inside you will find rooms filled with plants, patchwork quilts, and sunlight giving it a homely atmosphere that is said to always feel warm and welcoming.
Each of the Houses represents one of the four classical elements: fire, earth, air and water.

personally i don’t understand any animosity between hufflepuffs and slytherins because they both share the trait of being unconditionally loyal to their friends. just so happens that the former will stay up all night helping their friends study for an exam and the latter will procure their friends a copy of the answers
